This was a point of discussion a little while back, both here and abroad. There is another entry into the debate, this time from GBR. In a paper on what she did last summer, a 13yo begins:
"My smmr hols wr CWOT. B4, we used 2go2 NY 2C my bro, his GF & thr 3 : kids FTF. ILNY, it's a gr8 plc."
Says the Teacher:
"I could not believe what I was seeing. The page was riddled with hieroglyphics, many of which I simply could not translate,"
Can we say "Generation Gap". I knew we could.
BTW, you'll notice my previous entry is one of my biggest Google results, as evidenced by the multitude of juvenile replies over the span of months. And Kasia's entry would have been a funnier link for "abroad". :)
