Y! 360

Started to use Yahoo 360. It's not bad. If you don't have free access to a webserver with practically unlimited storage and bandwidth, I highly reccomend Yahoo! 360.

I do have those things, however. :)

I think if it were a little simpler to add pictures (you have to specify the image size, for some reason) or integrated a little tighter with Flickr. I trust the Flickr integration is coming, the relationship is still young, afterall.

Otherwise, it's not bad. I like that I can make a blog entry from Y! Messenger, and I like the 360 tool in the Y! Toolbar (though I like the JustBlogIt Firefox plugin, too.) I've posted a little there, not much. Will see how often I use it.

Hey Buckeye Fans

Just a note. Don't disagree with Tom. Don't ask Tom to support his assertions with facts. And don't point out when Tom uses falsehoods in place of facts. He's an Emperor with an all-over tan.

Muslims Getting Revenge for Inquisition

Horrible religion-motivated beheadings in Indonesia. I'm sure the Religious Rong in our own little country will be citing this often as evidence of the basic inhumanity of Muslims.

I'll remind our dear psuedo-Christian friends that it was in the name of their professed Savior the very same acts, and many others just as bad, were committed. I'm sure these unfortunate teenagers were not expecting to be beheaded, but then, nobody expected the Spanish Inquisition, either.

A message Co-opted...

Read a nice story about Bill Waterson (which really didn't have any point, but was nice to read) that was linked from My Yahoo!. Followed the lin kat the bottom of the story to Chagrin Falls, a town in Ohio (where it snows a LOT and Bill Waterson grew up).

There, I saw this picture, advertising local gift cards:

Nice. What a beautifully ironic bastardization of the phrase that Environmentalists have been using for more than 25 years. *sigh*

Lying Liars

So with the impending conclusion of the Grand Jury investigation of the Valerie Plame fiasco, the usual talking heads have sprout up again spouting off the same lies. The most annoying lie they tell, by far, is that Joe Wilson claimed he went to Niger because Dick Cheney asked him to. And that to correct this lie, Dick's minions were "helping journalists".

Now, this is simply not the case. Joe Wilson never said Cheney sent him. Never. You are welcome to search Nexis if you have the access, but he never said that. He was always very clear on the origins of his trip. The VP's office asked the CIA for clarification about a report. The CIA sent Joe, at least according to Joe (and the CIA). Now, they sent him because they wanted to answer the OVP's questions. But he's always maintained the CIA sent him, never said otherwise.

Now, when conservative asshats go on cable news and spout this bullshit, I wince, but I'm not suprised. What suprises me is that actual reporters, who are tasked with having to know the facts about whatever they are covering, are not parroting this easily debunked lie. None other than Alan Greenspan's wife has taken to repeating a talking point.

Bush Packing

It's funny. You had to have seen the Daily Show last night (or this morning (thank you Tivo!)). But it was funny. Trust me.
