Shoes

I needed new shoes. My tennis shoes were getting pretty worn, and I also needed some running shoes for the hour or two a month I spend on a treadmill. I had my eyes set on getting some Nike Air Resolve for tennis, and either the Air Moto or Air Pegasus 2004. I'm not running a lot, or really much at all, so spending more than $80 would be a waste.

So I head on over to Crossroads to check out Dick's. They didn't have the Air Resolve Low Cut, just the mids. And after checking out the Pegasus (they didn't have the Moto) didn't really feel like spending money on them. But I found some other shoes I liked a lot. The New Balance 652 and 807. (in blue/grey). Trouble was, that Dick's didn't have my sizes (9 2E or 9.5 2E). So I went down the shopping center to Footaction to see if they did. And dear god, did that store suck. I guess if you wanted basketball shoes, it'd be heaven. But not a single tennis shoe.

So, it was off to Glenwood Ave and the New Balance Store. And of course, THEY had my sizes. Well, one of them anyway. Ended up costing about 15 bucks more than Dick's woulda, but that's the price I pay for having an average foot.

I like New Balance. After all my ankle problems the surgon recomended the 841. I really liked that shoe. Now they have gone to the 842 and I don't think it is as good of shoe.
