Pictures of our newest Pleco, Chad. You may be wondering why we named a fish "Chad". The story goes like this: When we got our first pleco, it was during the height of the Monica Lewinsky brouhaha. Shortly afer it was confirmed that Monica had performed oral sex on the President (It's Good to be the King ;) in his office. Since Pleco's spend most of their day sucking on various things, Monica seemed a good name. So we named it monica, and got a few chuckles/groans from friends.
When we bought Chad, it was during the Presidential election scandal of 2000. Those of you that paid attention are no doubt familiar with the arguments concerning "hanging chads". It followed that since Plecos spend a good part of their day hanging on things (walls of the tank, driftwood, ornaments..) that "Chad" was a perfect name.
