Gravity, Ice, and the law of conservation of energy conspire to break a rocker arm (at least) and render my wheels worthless. :(

*Update* Too much damage for the tire place to fix it. Having it towed to a collision specialist. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. If it's 2-3K to fix, my insuracnce premiums would go up by %45, or $700/yr. If it's more than 3K, it's a %65 hit. So it's possibly right at the point that just junking it and getting a new, though pretty cheap, car would be as good a solution financially. Whatever I got from the insurance company would be paid directly back to them over three years. So it'll take some figuring to determine the best course.

This is old news, but I wanted to make sure we made through financing and house inspections and all the other things that preceed a closing. But a week from today, I will close on our new house @ 9:30am and close on the old, er current, house @ 4pm.
It's a significant upgrade. Literally twice the size, and twice the price. But we have another bun in the oven, and if I want to keep my own room, we had to get a bigger house.
