Tsunami

Anyone else get annoyed when the people on TV pronounce it "Phu-ket" instead of "Phuk-et"?

Best SNL Skit

This is really difficult, but a top contender is certainly "Chopping Broccoli" (mpg).

The Farley Chippendale's skit with Patrick Swayze is also among the best. I don't think Weekend Updates really count, but if they do, "Jane, you ignorant slut" has to be there. Then there is the "Nice Penis" skit. I've always been partial to Willie the Masochist, myself., but tat's more a character than a skit. And really, could any discussion of this take place without Bill Murray's lounge Singer doing 'Star Wars"?

Why I was against this War

It truely pains me to see people that bought the lies, their senses so easily perverted by some misguided notion of Patriotism, think that they are supporting the troops. FYI, You aren't. You support them by keeping them OUT of wars. Because thisis what happens to them when we let politicians use them as pawns in some game.

You are warned that these are not for the light of heart. But if you voted for Bush, you are a coward not to see what you voted for.

Spam Begone!

MT-Bayesian won't work (I know James has pretty much suggested people don't use, but not because it doesn't work), and Blacklist isn't enough. So I searched Feedster for some othe people having MT-Bayesian issues, and found some people using Scode to block at least the automated spambots.

Took some tweaking to get it to work, but you will now have to enter a security code to post a comment. The code will appear above the submit button as an image.

Make XML Button do something

This is just now annoying me, which is odd. I've been reading dozens of blogs for nearly 3 years. But I never bothered to get an aggregator. It's only the advent of RSS Broadcatching that has led me to the RSS/Atom promised land.

So my annoyance: What the hell is the point of making the XML simply link to the .rss page? Are there really more than 5 people on the planet that would be interested in the actual RSS?

Why do people click the button? To get the feed's link.

Why do they want the feed? To put in their aggregator.

Now, if we know people click the button to get the link, to add to their subscribed feeds...then why doesn't our browser DO IT FOR US!!! Why can't I let Mozilla know that SharpReader is the application I read RSS feeds in, and automagically add a feed to my list of subscriptions when I click on one?

Code Whores, make this happen for me, nay, for Humanity!
