Leaving a few hours to drive to ohio. be there 11 days. Going to the BG/tOSU game Sat. Hangin out @ Indian Lake State Park the rest of the time. Avoiding this storm I've heard so much about. Hope my house doesn't have a tree though it when I get back. :)
Week 4 of my College Football Pick 'em.
Enjoy
> Week 4
> Miami @ Syracuse
Isabel. Why isn't Miami, home to the Orange growing center of the
planet, not called the Orange, anyway?
> BG @ OSU
The Ohio State University. I'll be in Sec 14C, row 37, seat 14. I'll
have a red tOSU hat and grey tOSU sweatshirt on. Should be able to pick
me out of the crowd.
> E Mich @NAvy
Navy. this might be a decent game. They both suck about the same.
> Tenn @ FLorida
FLA. Even the Volunteers can't dam up Chris Leak.
> Geo @ LSU
Tiger vs. Bulldog. I like the Tiger.
> Marshall @ K St
I'd pick this as an upset, but with MU's QB out... K-State should win.
> Michigan@ Oregon
Michigan. Fuck Michigan.
> Mich St @ ND
I've known Mormans that were more offensive that either of these two
teams. Touchdown Jesus showed two weeks ago that he won't let them lose
at home. So I'll stick with the Golden Dummies..er...Domers.
> Pitt @ Toledo
Toledo has a great chance here. But I'm sticking with Walt Harris and
Pitt.
> ZOna @ Purdue
Speaking of teams that should be kicked out of the PAC10... Purdue will
have forgotten Drew Brees by the time they hit 50 points. In the second
quarter. Those guys could drink boilermakers all night long, and still
beat the Mildcats.
> UCLA @ Okla
OHHHH-klahoma.
> Harvard @ Holy Cross
HC couldn't stop Georgetown on defense. And I think football is just a
club sport @ Georgetown. Harvard rolls.
> Lehigh @ Princeton
Princeton hasn't played yet. So it's hard to tell. But Lehigh has looked
good over some teams with perfect graduation rates. I'll go with Lehigh.
> Baldwin Wallace @ Mt Union
Jesus. I'm undefeated in these intra-Ohio matchups. But this one is
tough. I don't think Mount Union ever loses. But BWC is a solid D3
team. I'll take the home team. But this is the D3 Game of the Week.
> Stanford @ BYU
These are those more offensive Mormans I was talking about before. The
Cardinal looked good in thrashing SJSU. But they'll to wipe the frosting
from that cupcake off their mouths if they want to beat BYU in Provo. the
Mountain West teams look at Pac 10 teams like MAC teams look at the Big
Ten. And BYU is to Standford as BG is to Purdue.
Johnny Cash died last night. I think everyone knew he didn't have much time left after June died. So it not really a suprise. But it is cause for reflection on a great life. Few people were as important culturally as this couple.
First #3. Now Cash. The afterworld has a monopoly on Men in Black. And no, Will Smith is no consolation.
Doing a College Football Pick 'em that a buddy of my brother's is running up thar in Ohio. I've become a huge fan of this particular pick 'em, due to the obscure nature of some of the games. how many of your pick 'ems have had Grambling or Ohio Northern in them?
Anyway, I'll post my submission each week, and Brandt can make fun of my selections.

Subject: Dan Isaacs's Week 3 Picks
Week 3 Schedule
>Hawaii @ USC,
The team with the condom as a mascot.
> Boise St. @ Idaho,
A firerce intra-state rivaly. Boise St. Rolls.
>Illinois @ UCLA,
Big Ten continues decline. UCLA big.
>Indiana St. @ Indiana,
Indiana finally wins. Both teams are 1-9 in the last ten games. But if
IU doesn't win this one, they should be banned to the MAC.
>Iowa @ Iowa St.,
Iowa. And all of a sudden, I'm hungry for some sweet corn and potato
salad.
>Louisville @ Syracuse,
Syracuse wins this preview of the 2006 Big East Title Game.
>Toledo @ Marshall (Friday),
Marshall's dirty program beats Toledo's dirty program. But both teams
would fare better in the Big Ten than IU/PSU.
>Notre Dame @ Michigan,
scUM. Though either team losing brings joy to my life.
>Penn St. @ Nebraska,
Nebraska. Speaking of teams that need banished to the MAC...
>NC State @ Ohio St.,
The Ohio State University. This week is your last chance to say "Philip
Rivers, Heisman Candidate" with a straight face.
>South Carolina @ Georgia,
Georgia. Lou Holtz told me SC didn't have a chance.
>Mississippi St. @ Tulane,
Miss. St., unless Shaun King has a little brother playing for Tulane.
>Washington St. @ Colorado,
WSU. There is no Touchdown Jesus in COL.
>Arkansas @ Texas,
Universidad de Tejas
>Ohio Northern @ Dayton.
Dayton. Any school with students who think a road trip to Findlay is the
highlight of their weekend doesn't deserve to win football games.
The Spider wasn't there last night. We were gone Friday and Sat. night, so I don't know just when it moved on. I'll miss it if it has relocated. It was fun to watch.
Had some pictures from last week that Kristi took. Some pretty good ones.
Been working hard all morning. Worked right through lunch. Just looked at my whiteboard with my list of ToDos. And I busy as I was, I wasn't working on any of them.
Now, either my list needs changed, or I need to actually use that to determine what I should work on. reviewing the stuff I was doing (little admin stuff that could wait) reveals that I just need to look at the damn list when I get in the quasi-office and set priorities accordingly. And to ignore or postpone dealing with non-urgent user issues.
It's remarkable that I'm employed at all, let alone fairly good at my job considering the awful job I do of prioritizing tasks on a macro scale. Dealing with users promptly was something I was told I needed to focus on. I explained at the time that doing so would result in a drop-off in my performance in other areas, given the realities of Time's finiteness.
I saw this one coming.
