It's never the mistake.

It's always the cover-up.

Remember, if you can, back when Clinton first lied about having sex with that woman (parsing words with theretofore unprecendented chutzpah). And the supporters of his said things like "It was just a blowjob, it's none of your business, yada, yada, yada.". They looked at the act, and found nothing terribly wrong with it (Constitutionally, anyway).

And the people attacking him said the blowjob wasn't really an issue. It was the Lie, and the attempts to cover it up, that were the problem. Isn't it quaint how now the Left is in the position of saying "it's not what you did, it's that you covered it up" and the Wrong is left to argue about the merits of his actual service?

This could bring this guy down. More than the economy or his stupid war lust. Cover-ups are the greatest political Sin. And I don't think the Press (thank you Press for finally getting some fucking balls) is going to stop asking questions. And given how resistant the WH is to releasing all his records (as he told Tim Russert he would), you can't help but think they must be hiding something.
